We wanted to write in about Deborah Van Kleef.  Deborah is an excellent guitar instructor.  My children were 6 and 8 years old when they started guitar lessons with Deborah.  She is very patient and kind with young students.  She is able to incorporate fun anecdotes in her teaching process to keep the children entertained while learning.  She also encourages the children to be creative without pushing them beyond their comfort level, which has allowed my children to excel in areas that they truly enjoy.  We would highly recommend Deborah Van Kleef!!! –The Rosalina’s

I am privileged to sit quietly and observe as Stuart Vokes instructs Sean on the fine points of playing the guitar.  Stuart is an excellent teacher, and Sean’s playing ability has developed beautifully under his guidance.  I have enjoyed watching firsthand the growth of Sean’s musical abilities.  Stuart has an amazing ability to know how to give Sean a sense of accomplishment, while gently pushing him to do well. You are fortunate to have a teacher of such ability on your staff. –Sincerely, Ron Waxman

Good morning.  Sandy [Love] teaches my son Andrew (14) electric bass and my daughter Julia (11) electric guitar.  They both look forward to their lessons every week, which is itself a testament to the man’s good nature.  We all like Sandy a lot and I wanted you to know that he is an asset to the music school. — Alan Rossman

Sandy Love has been a great blessing to us!  He is spontaneous, really choosing music and technique that keep Austin interested in his guitar lessons. We are grateful that someone with so much experience teaching kids still wants to share the gifts of learning and enthusiasm. –From Sue and Austin Chin

I wanted to send you an email in regards to our  wonderful experience at the Fairmount School of Music. My son and daughter are both taking piano lessons from Machelle McNeal.  She is a wonderful, and caring , and knowledgeable piano instructor. My daughter is in her fifth  year, and my son in his second year of lessons.  Both enjoy lessons, because they not only feel that they are learning, but because she makes it fun for them. Every opportunity I get, I tell everyone I know about the Fairmount School of Music and Ms. Machelle. Thank you for your referral. –Jennifer Chmiel

My son Kadar began his guitar lessons with Mike McNamara nearly two months ago, and I’ll never forget how enthused Mr. McNamara was on my son’s ability to not only hold the instrument correctly, but also play a few strong notes. In saying Mr. McNamara was a great influence on Kadar’s desire to practice harder, and strive to learn more music, and we thank him for his effortless support. –Kadar and Dad

Inna [Onofrei] is gentle and firm at the same time. When we started FSM, we were not sure for how long we will be driving here. I was hoping to find a teacher within walking distance. But my daughter connected with Inna so well that she never ever wants to leave her teacher. As a matter of fact, the only condition she agreed to add violin in her routine if she could keep her piano with same teacher. We are very glad to have her and I hope that she is there for a very long time. –Farhana Khan, Mother of Alina Khan

We have nothing but praise for the dedication, enthusiasm, patience, and high quality instruction that Ms. [Ann Marie] Falcone has provided our son. Ms. Falcone’s encouragement and guiding hand has been integral to Thomas’ progress over the past three years. She has always challenged him with serious music an dled him along to where he believes he can tackle any piece of music. . . In addition, Ms. Falcone has gone above and beyond the normal duties of a music instructor. She has freely and enthusiastically organized and coached small musical groups for Thomas to play in, as well as arranging for many group recitals. In our opinion, Ms. Falcone is an exceptionally dedicated, talented, and successful music instructor. We count ourselves very lucky to have found her. –David Huston

The Sun Press, Thursday, January 24, 2013: “Holt, 17, had played the clarinet since fourth grade, but said she didn’t become serious about the instrument until 2008. That was when she started taking private lessons from Ann Marie Falcone, whom Holt called ‘a really great friend. We just have fun’ she said. ‘My lessons are the highlight of my day. She just has a unique way of explaining music.'” –-C. Holt in interview before performing her Senior Solo at CHHS

My son’s teacher, Tony, is outstanding. I enjoy listening to all the lessons around me while I wait. FSM is the place to be. — Debbie Scotese, Parent of Trumpet Student
